GlenCare: Personalized In-Home Support That Extends Independence
For those who want to live independently in their home while receiving extra support, GlenCare Home Care delivers highly personalized care — available both for residents of The Glenview as well as for individuals living in the surrounding area.
GlenCare Home Care has four unique care options, including:
- Companion Care: Special assistants bring ease to everyday life by driving to doctor appointments as well as providing one-on-one help with household tasks and errands, including grocery shopping, laundry, paying bills, writing letters, and more.
- Home Health Aides: Versatile aides perform all the duties of Companion Care along with providing personal in-home care such as help with meals, bathing, dressing, exercising, and more.
- Nurses: Registered nurses and LPNs provide health/home assessments, safety evaluations (with recommendations for adaptive equipment like grab bars or shower benches), as well as handle medical treatments such as basic wound care. Nurses also administer a comprehensive medication management program that facilitates accurate on-time medication dispensing. Medication management includes portioning of medications, medication education, and overseeing aides who provide daily medication reminders. An RN supervises your caregivers and in-home care treatments, communicates with physicians to collaborate with care providers, and helps you navigate the healthcare system, providing a seamless, customized, integrated approach to home care.
- Heartfelt Connections — A Memory Care Program®: All of our GlenCare clinicians and caregivers are trained in the Heartfelt Connections Memory Care Program. This is a unique, specialized memory training program for caregivers to enhance the well-being and safety of a cognitively impaired person — focusing on enriching a person’s life where they are today. This comprehensive program is based on the latest in memory care research and best practices and provides meaningful support for those living with memory challenges, focusing on their capabilities and providing dignity and purpose to their days.

“Our approach is deeply personal and clinically driven,” said Kim Dapper, Director of Nursing for GlenCare. “Every client is supported by a nurse case manager who oversees care from Day One — a level of involvement many other home care agencies simply don’t offer. A nurse case manager completes an initial assessment, creates a customized care plan with flexible scheduling that ranges from assistance for a few hours each day to 24/7 care, and remains actively involved with the client’s care — even coming into the home as needed to support both the client and caregiver. Safety is always our number one priority, and everything we do is designed to help individuals live independently in the safest, most fulfilling way possible.”
