Premier Place Earns CMS High-Performing Recognition, the Only Facility in Naples
For someone recovering from surgery, illness or a hospital stay, choosing where to receive care is an important decision. Medicare’s Care Compare website helps patients and families compare nursing homes, including their health inspection results, staffing and quality ratings.
Premier Place at The Glenview has earned the High-Performing icon from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) on Care Compare, becoming the only facility in Naples to receive this distinction. The icon appears alongside the facility’s star ratings and identifies nursing homes that meet rigorous criteria involving quality ratings, staffing and health inspection history.
“At Premier Place, we know families are placing tremendous trust in us, often during a challenging time,” said Daniel Gomez, Executive Director of The Glenview. “This recognition reflects the commitment of our team and the attention they give to each person who comes here for care.”
Recognition From a Community Partner
The achievement also drew congratulations from Physicians Regional Health Systems, a partner through its Post-Acute Care Collaborative.
David Osei-Bonsu, RN, Continuum of Care Coordinator at Physicians Regional, called the distinction “a clear testament to your team’s unyielding dedication to clinical excellence, patient safety, and high-quality post-acute care.”
In his message to Glenview leadership, Osei-Bonsu highlighted the team’s work caring for patients with complex needs, coordinating care transitions and helping prevent unnecessary hospital readmissions. Physicians Regional will also identify Premier Place’s High-Performing status on its patient choice lists, helping patients and families recognize the distinction when considering their care options.
“Your performance strengthens our entire continuum, directly enhances the quality of care for our shared beneficiaries, and raises the standard of care across our region,” Osei-Bonsu wrote.
The People Behind the Recognition
For the Premier Place team, quality care takes shape in everyday interactions: understanding a patient’s needs, noticing changes in their condition, encouraging progress in therapy and helping families prepare for the next step.
“This is a proud moment for everyone who contributes to care at Premier Place,” said Susan Hahn, Director of Nursing. “Our nurses, therapists and support staff work closely together, and each person brings something important to a patient’s recovery. We want every patient to feel heard, supported and encouraged as they work toward their goals.”
Located on The Glenview at Pelican Bay campus, Premier Place provides short-term rehabilitation and long-term skilled nursing care to both Glenview residents and the greater Naples community. You do not need to be a Glenview resident to receive care.
